Jeannie Capone was born in Boston,  raised in Roslindale and moved to Canton at the age of 10. After graduating from Canton High School in 2001, she pursued a Bachelor's of Art in Public Policy and Community Development from the Univerversity of Massachusetts, Amherst.

After graduating, she almost moved back to Canton, but found a wonderful condo just over the border in Sharon. After a year working within a school for emotionally challenged children, she decided to refine her professional goals and entered a highly competitive second Bachelor's Degree program in Nursing at Curry College in Milton.

Jeannie worked at Milton Hospital and as an academic tutor at Curry College during her studies, and graduated with an invitation to join Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society, a membership that reflected her high academic achievement in nursing school.  Jeannie is currently training to become a Family Nurse Practitioner at Boston College, and is considering prolonging her wonderful studies at BC with the pursuit of a PhD in Nursing!.

Jeannie  is looking forward to learning about all the health-related issues that impact Canton residents--everything  from aging in a healthful manner, concerns about health and wellness throughout the lifespan, town-wide public health issues, and your thoughts on the political and societal policies that impact health and healthcare.  She is interested in bringing using her perspective to help discuss the latest health-related research and how it may apply in real life….where it counts!  Your health-related questions and comments are a very much appreciated addition to her weekly column.
