Obituary: William E. Moore

In retirement, he transported people to different soup kitchens in the Attleboro area.

William E. Moore, 79, of Attleboro, formerly of Norton, died Feb. 13, 2013 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Moore was born in Attleboro to Frederick W.S. and Gladys M. Moore. He was a slitter operator for the former St. Regis Co., now Fortifiber, for more than 30 years before retiring in 1995. After retiring, Moore transported people to different soup kitchens in the Attleboro area. Moore was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a corporal and a radioman. He was an Attleboro resident most of his life, moving back to the city in 1997 from Norton. Moore was a member of the Plainville Baptist Church. Moore was preceded in death by his wife Trudy. He is survived by his son William Andrew Moore of Attleboro, daughter Kathleen Becker and her husband …
