Obituary: Ronald Peacock Sr.

Ronald E. Peacock Sr., 76, of Summerfield, Fla., formerly of Norton, died on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at the Villages Regional Hospital in Lady Lake, Fla.

Ronald E. Peacock Sr., 76, of Summerfield, Fla., formerly of Norton, died on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at the Villages Regional Hospital in Lady Lake, Fla. Born in Duxbury Jan. 11, 1936, he was son to the late Howard Leon & Evelyn Mary (Wiltshire) Peacock and step-son to the late Grace (Mooney) Peacock. Ronnie grew up and was educated in South Boston. He served in the United States Army as Corporal Regular in the 25th Division and is a veteran of the Korean War. He married Katherine M. Brady and they raised four children in their long time residence in Norton. Ronnie became a Boston Police Officer and was later promoted to Detective. He attended Northeastern University where he studied criminal law. He retired on Jan. 31, 1997 from the Boston …

Obituary: Donald Thomas

Father of Norton resident Robin Haygood.

Donald C. Thomas, 90, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Good Samaritan Medical Center.  Mr. Thomas was the husband of the late Virginia (Wegeler) Thomas. Born and raised in Roxbury, he was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. Donald was a longtime resident of Stoughton. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a patrolman for the Boston Police Department for over 40 years. After his retirement, he worked in the Distribution Warehouse for Reebok in Stoughton for over 15 years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Boston Police Patrolmans Union. He is survived by his children George C. Thomas of Canton, Donna J. Thomas of Stoughton, Timothy J. Thomas of Whitman and Robin T. Obituary: Donald G. Martel

Donald G. Martel, 59, of Norton, died Nov. 3, 2012 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Donald was husband of Susan D. (Colburn) Martel. He leaves his children Joseph J. and Timothy J. of Bourne; and his brother Peter J. Martel and his wife Becky of Norton. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 10, 1 to 4 p.m. in the Prophett Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater.
