Election to Include Two Write-In Candidates

Stephen Ceckowski to be a write-in for the Water/Sewer Board while Kelly Theresa plans to be a write-in for the Board of Assessors.

March 12 was the deadline to return these papers. Several Candidates Come Forward for Town Office Election

Kimball and Salvo seek reelection on Board of Selectmen.

Several people have already begun their road to election day by obtaining nomination papers. Incumbents Robert Kimball Jr. and Robert Salvo Sr. are looking to be reelected while George Gillis is also vying for a seat. School Committee chairperson Andrew Mackie is seeking reelection while Beth McManus’ seat is being eyed by Valerie Desmond. Ralph Stefanelli and Robert Salvo Sr. are both trying to keep their Housing Authority positions. While three seats are available on the Planning Board, so far only incumbent David Miller has taken out papers. Nomination papers for the Annual Town Election in Norton are available at the Town Clerk’s office beginning Monday, Jan. 28.   Seats up for grabs are: Board of Assessors: One three-year term currently held by Barbara E. Martin. Housing Authority: Two five-year terms currently held by Robert S. Salvo Sr. and Ralph Stephanelli (appointed for Stanley Mederios vacancy). Today is the annual Norton Town Election. If you need a reminder of the races and questions on the ballot, we got you covered. There are two contested races; Board of Selectmen and School Committee. Both have three candidates and two open seats. Tim Giblin and Bradford Bramwell are seeking re-election for the Board of Selectmen while James Dinsel is also vying for a seat. While Deniz Savas will be trying to keep his seat on the School Committee, Phillip Lynch and Christopher McMahon Jr. are running against him. The annual Town Election will be held Tuesday, April 24. Polls will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Norton High School. Incumbent Deniz Savas is seeking re-election while Phillip Lynch and Christopher McMahon Jr. are vying for the two available seats on the School Committee. The annual Town Election will be held Tuesday, April 24. Polls will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Norton High School. Incumbents Bradford Bramwell and Timothy Giblin are aiming to keep their seats on the Board of Selectmen while James Dinsel is running for one of the three-year terms.
