Norton's McMahon's the culmination of Western style.
Karyn McMahon said that she and her husband have always wanted to open up a restaurant together, and now they have put their dream into reality. “We have always talked about starting it,” she said. “We had a couple other businesses, the restaurants inside the Walpole and Foxborough skating rinks… But we were dependent on their schedule for customers.” McMahon bought the space from the previous owners who ran Old Colony Café, and in two years have since turned it into their ideal space, now called McMahon's Countryside Grille. “We just thought it was a beautiful place,” she said. “We wanted something close to home and to be proud of in the community. We decided to give it a shot when we saw it was vacant.” McMahon said she wanted to give …

McMahon's Lancer Pizza to donate profits to youth sports.
Pizza lovers can now enjoy a pie from McMahon’s Lancer Pizza in Norton while simultaneously supporting the town’s community sports. McMahon’s Countryside Grille owners Karyn and Chris McMahon teamed up with Norton resident Chris Strynar with the idea of running the pizzeria inside the original restaurant. Profits from the pizza are directly invested to Norton youth sports. “We realized that the town needed a way to raise much needed funds for programs,” said Strynar, who is also a coordinator for Norton Youth Football and Cheer. “Everyone likes pizza, so we thought it would be a great way to help out.” Dine-in, pick-up or delivery of any pizza helps the program. Profits from the sale of those pizzas will be donated to Sheri Cohen’s non-…

Family dining that won't hurt your wallet.
There’s a new restaurant in town that is making a lot of buzz. McMahon’s Countryside Grille, 336 Old Colony Road, opened July 1, and already has regulars. “So far it has been everything we wanted it to be,” said owner Karyn McMahon. This business venture is a family affair, as Karyn’s husband, Chris, and their children, CJ, Nick, Karlene and Darcey, all have a role to play. Karyn is the face of the business who deals with the behind the scenes details. Chris and Nick can usually be found in the kitchen, cooking away. CJ is a waiter and designed the menu. Karlene and Darcey are learning the ropes on how to become great waitresses. Family truly is the driving force behind McMahon’s existence. With a family of six, it was hard for them to …
