Four Penmen seniors, including Jordan Branco of Norton, garnered All-Region honors. Branco was named to the Third Team All-America by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Branco, a Northeast-10 Second Team All-Conference selection, finished 2012 as the second-leading scorer on the Penmen despite missing three games, totaling six goals and a team-high nine assists for 21 points this season. Over his three seasons in a Penmen uniform, Branco totaled 17 goals and 18 assists for 52 points and was a two-time NE-10 All-Conference selection. Southern New Hampshire University senior Jordan Branco was named Wednesday to the Capital One Academic All-America men's soccer team. Branco was a Second Team selection. For the second straight year, he was honored as a Second Team selection. He becomes the second two-time Academic All-American in SNHU history, as former Penmen women’s lacrosse standout Julie Kraus was honored in 2008 and 2009. Southern New Hampshire has now had a total of 13 Capital One Academic All-Americans. The Capital One Academic All-America and All-District teams are selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Norton resident Jordan Branco was named the 2011-12 SNHU’s Scholar-Athletes of the Year at Southern New Hampshire University. The announcement was made during the University’s 47th annual awards ceremony held recently at the Center of New Hampshire Radisson in downtown Manchester. Branco, a junior, recently wrapped up his second season with the Penmen soccer program. In 2011 he garnered Northeast-10 Third Team All-Conference honors after finishing second on the team in goals (10), assists (6) and points (26). Branco also finished second in the NE-10 in scoring, behind only teammate Chris Tsonis. He tallied four game-winning goals on the season and had a goal and an assist in SNHU’s win over C.W. Two Southern New Hampshire University men’s soccer players, of Norton, were honored by the Northeast-10 Conference coaches as they selected the league’s All-Conference teams announced Thursday. Junior Jordan Branco was a Third Team All-Conference selections, while Keegan Campbell was named to the league’s All-Rookie Team. Branco ranks second on the Penmen and seventh in the conference with 20 points on the strength of eight goals and four assists. He recorded multiple points on seven occasions, with a season-high five points on two goals and an assist in a win over Post on Oct. 5. Southern New Hampshire University junior Jordan Branco, of Norton, claimed a weekly award from the Northeast-10 Conference on Tuesday afternoon. Branco was named the league’s Co-Player of the Week. Branco, a graduate of Brockton High School, scored two goals in SNHU’s 3-0 victory over regionally-ranked Bridgeport last Wednesday. For the season, he is Southern New Hampshire’s second-leading scorer, having tallied eight goals and four assists for 20 points. Southern New Hampshire, which is ranked No. 12 nationally and has won 13 straight games, returns to action on Friday when it hosts UMass Lowell in a 7 p.m. Northeast-10 championship semifinal.

Junior Jordan Branco of Norton continues to contribute in the scoring column for the Southern New Hampshire University men’s soccer team. Branco, a graduate of Brockton High School, tallied a goal in Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Southern Connecticut State University, the eighth straight win for the Penmen. He currently ranks second on the team with five goals and three assists for 13 points for Southern New Hampshire, which is 11-2 and ranked No. 16 nationally. Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Wednesday night when it travels to UMass Lowell for a key Northeast-10 contest at 7 p.m.

Norton resident Jordan Branco, a junior of the Southern New Hampshire University men’s soccer team, scored his first goal of the season in a 4-1 win over Le Moyne College Saturday, Sept. 24. Branco, a graduate of Brockton High School, scored 1:15 into the second half to give the Penmen a 2-0 advantage. For the season, he has totaled a goal and two assists while appearing in all seven games, starting four of those contests. The Penmen are currently 5-2 and 3-2 in the Northeast-10. Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 28 when it travels to Saint Michael’s College for a 3 p.m. contest.
