George Jackson, 84, of Norton, died Dec. 13, 2012.
George L. Jackson, 84, of Norton, passed away surrounded by his family Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Janet E. (Cooper) Jackson to whom he was wed for 47 years at the time of her death on June 24, 1995. Born in Rehoboth Aug. 15, 1928, he was son of the late Henry and Margaret (Lee) Jackson. George grew up in Attleboro and was a 1946 graduate of Attleboro High School. During WWII he served as a member of the Army National Guard and had made his home in Norton for the past 64 years. Prior to retiring in 1990, Mr. Jackson was employed as a rolling mill operator at Leach and Garner in Attleboro. He had previously worked for 14 years at Bliss Brothers Dairy in Attleboro and as an…
