Jake's Place Clubhouse Takes Over for Frenzy in Norton

New owners share their experience and history in Norton.

  Frenzy in Norton had a reputation for family entertainment, and new owners Deija and Cary Nevins said they want to continue the tradition. The couple also own Jake’s Preschool in Sharon, and they said, while the school is rewarding, they were looking to expand their operation in Norton, at what is now called "Jake’s Place Clubhouse." Jake's Place Clubhouse is a drop-in play center. They offer indoor children's play, birthday parties, classes for all ages, a drop-off after school club for ages  six and older, teen nights and rentals. I had recently visited frenzy over the weekend for a birthday party and was so impressed!! I had visited many times in the past and it was always so so with the customer service and atmosphere. Families Enjoy Fun-Filled Frenzy Day [VIDEO]

Indoor play area now open to the public.

Frenzy, an indoor play area for kids and teenagers, lived up to its name during the business’ grand opening Sunday, July 17. About 300 kids raced through the inflatable obstacle course, jumped around in the bounce house, got thrown off a mechanical bull and more.  Ed MacMillan and his fiancé Karen Goodburn are co-owners of Frenzy. Having three kids and not knowing what to do with them locally got them thinking.  “There was nothing in Norton for kids,” MacMillon said.  MacMillon worked for Roche Bros. Supermarket, and his hours were severely cut. Even through the temp agency the hours were inconsistent and the pay was not enough to make ends meet. So he and Goodburn, who as the owner of Children’s Haircuts has experience with kids, decided …
