The results of this week’s Best Of Readers’ Choice series are in! With 41 percent of the votes, Chateau Restaurant of Norton was voted as the Best Place to Celebrate Mother’s Day. Only three votes separated Chateau from the runner up Trinity Bar & Restaurant, who garnered 33 percent of the votes. McMahon’s Countryside Grille came up in third place with 20 percent of the votes. Overview: The Chateau is an Italian restaurant with seven locations in Massachusetts. This location is on Bay Road next to Winnecunnet Pond. The Chateau has a large menu of Italian foods and also has a buffet and catering services. Decor: In the daytime, you can’t help but to wonder what the inside of the Chateau looks like, since the exterior is so intriguing. Though the word ‘chateau’ refers to a manor house or country house of nobility or gentry, to me it looks like an elegant barn, minus the animals and anything at all associated with a barn. I’m lucky if we go out to eat once or twice a month, and to the movies once a year (I’m not kidding). Although you SHOULD have a date night with your sweetie once a week, that doesn’t seem to happen in our house. When we DO go out, we go with coupons or certificates in hand to save a bundle. I always ask for restaurant gift certificates for presents – that way I get out of the kitchen! Last week we went to  99 Restaurant & Pub to celebrate our daughter’s birthday.
