Chamber Names Person, Business of the Year

The recipients will be honored at a banquet next month.

The United Regional Chamber of Commerce, which has a membership that includes businesses in Norton, announced Monday the recipients of the person and business of the year awards. The winners are Ed Hurley, president of the Hockomock Area YMCA, and Cryan Landscape Contractors. A chamber press release states, "Under Hurley's leadership, the Hockomock YCMA serves every segment of the population, from preschoolers to senior citizens." State Rep. Betty Poirier nominated Hurley for the award. "At the heart of all of these programs is Ed Hurley," said Poirier, according to the chamber's release. North Easton Savings Bank Named Business of the Year

Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce awards bank at annual Success and Service awards ceremony.

The Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce named North Easton Savings Bank as “Business of the Year” at the annual Success and Service awards ceremony Friday, Jan. 27, 2012.  Marilyn A. Lewis, vice president, technology and compliance officer of the bank and director and former treasurer of the Tri-Town Chamber, accepted the award on behalf of the bank.   North Easton Savings Bank has been a member and active supporter of the Tri-Town Chamber for many years.
