Two-Alarm Fire at Canton Home The cause of a two-alarm fire that ignited at a home on Chapman Street in Canton Tuesday night was the result of an accidental electrical issue, Canton Fire Chief Charles E. Doody said Wednesday. The fire broke out around 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, and caused fire damage to a basement electrical room. The two occupants who own the home were displaced as a result of the fire, though there were no injuries, Doody said. Norton Man Cited for Leaving Scene of Route 24 Fatal Massachusetts State Police have issued a citation to the man who was allegedly operating the vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian on Route 24 northbound in Randolph early Sunday morning, July 29 (around 1:15 a.m.). Shane Wilson, 20, of Norton was issued a citation with a single charge of leaving the scene after causing personal injury resulting in death, David Traub, spokesman for Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey, said in a press release. 29-year-old Adam T. Trudeau of Needham was said to have been standing in the roadway on the northbound side of Route 24 when he was struck by Wilson's vehicle. Man Shot at Technology Center Drive Apartment Complex in Stoughton A man was transported to Boston Medical Center the afternoon of July 16 with a gunshot wound in the lower back, suffered at the Lodge at Stoughton on Technology Center Drive. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. Stoughton Police believe to have a "person of interest in the case." Norton Police File Vehicular Homicide Charges Motor vehicle homicide charges have been filed against Taunton resident David Boulter, 32, whose vehicle crashed into another car May 19 with a pregnant woman inside. The victim was a passenger travelling west on Old Colony Road when Boulter's car, coming from the east, hit her head on. She was 6 months pregnant at the time, and lost the baby as a result of the crash. Stoughton Police Make Arrest in Webster Bank Robbery A 30-year-old white male robbed Webster Bank on Washington St. in Stoughton the afternoon of June 11 and then fled the scene, but was arrested in Walpole later Monday evening, Stoughton Police Executive Officer Robert Devine said. Nicholas Twomey, 30, of Homesite Rd. in Brockton, entered Webster Bank, located at the corner of Washington and Monk Streets, around 3 p.m. on June 11, passed a note to the teller, and made off with about $2,000 in cash, Devine said. Bank Robbery Suspect in Norton Identified Norton Police Detectives have identified the Mansfield Bank robbery suspect as Ramon Felix, 27, of Quincy.  A bank employee told the Norton Police Department that a male entered the Mansfield Bank on W. Main Street in Norton at about 6 p.m. on April 21, approached a teller and handed her a note requesting money and stating that he had a weapon.  No weapon was shown to the teller.
