Norton Kids Volunteer to be 'Hunger Games' Tributes [VIDEO]

Fifteen tributes signed up for the Hunger Games Quarter Quells at Norton Public Library Tuesday, and just as in the book “The Hunger Games,” the winner came from District 12. Participants ages 10 to 18 drew their names and districts from a bag and competed in various events, such as cupcake decorating, knot tying, Hunger Games Jeopardy, token and pin making, readalikes and costume creation. Roche Bros. donated the cupcakes. Caroline Golota, whose Hunger name was Rooba, received the most points and won movie tickets donated by Patriot Place Cinemas. She was the only "tribute" from District 12, which is where the main character of the book, Katniss Everdeen, is from. The movie, which comes out midnight on Friday, is set in a future where the…
