Four Superintendent Finalists Chosen

Joseph Baeta, Bonny Gifford, Allen Himmelberger and Patricia Lally to be interviewed.

The Norton Superintendent Search Committee has forwarded the names of four finalists to the Norton School Committee for consideration for the position of Superintendent of Schools.   They are:  Joseph Baeta, Holbrook Superintendent of Schools; Bonny Gifford, Nauset Assistant Superintendent of Schools; Allen Himmelberger, Oxford Superintendent of Schools; and Patricia Lally, Tewksbury Assistant Superintendent of Schools. The date and times of the final interviews will be announced shortly. The position is currently being held by interim superintendent Dr. Christopher Martes. He has been standing in since former superintendent Dr. Patricia Ansay retired.

Norton Resident Sought for Superintendent Search Committee

CItizen-at-large must be available for meetings in December.

The Norton School Committee is seeking a Norton resident who is interested in serving on the Superintendent Search Committee as a citizen-at-large representative.  Participants must be available the first three weeks of December during the evening and possibly one or two Saturdays.  Interested individuals should submit a letter of interest by Friday, Nov. 16 addressed to Beth McManus of the School Committee, c/o Norton Public Schools, 64 West Main St., Norton, MA.

Committee Sets Ground Rules for Superintendent Search

A rundown of what candidates can expect during the process.

The pursuit for the new superintendent of Norton Public Schools officially began Monday night, as the Search Committee met in the Norton Middle School library to discuss the interviewing process and qualifications. Once the advertising brochure is made available to the public, applicants will have to submit hard copies of resumes to the committee. Superintendent Search Committee Formed

First meeting to take place Dec. 12.

Members of the Superintendent Search Committee were approved by the School Committee Monday night, in the next step toward filling Dr. Patricia Ansay’s position. Ansay will be process coordinator.
