Best Of Norton Readers' Choice

Best Of Winner: Uncle Ed's Back Porch

Uncle Ed's homemade ice cream is crowned the best in Norton.

The results of this week’s Best Of Readers’ Choice series are in, and boy was it a close one! With 54 out of 112 votes, Uncle Ed’s Back Porch was voted as having the Best Ice Cream in Norton. Runner up McMahon’s Countryside Grille garnered 51 votes while Sundae Shack received 7. “The heck with Bliss, they [McMahon’s] remind me of Bristol Farms,” said Patch reader Brian.   McMahon’s was just a step behind Uncle Ed’s every step of the way until the day before the polls closed. Friday morning McMahon’s was ahead in the poll by a single vote, but by 9 a.m. today when polls closed, their ice cream supplied by The Ice Cream Machine wasn’t enough to beat out Uncle Ed’s homemade hit. Best Of Norton Readers' Choice

Best Of Winner: Norton Public Library

Library chosen by readers as the best staycation spot in town.

The results of this week’s Best Of Readers’ Choice series are in! With 29 out of 60 votes, Norton Public Library was voted as the Best Staycation Spot in Norton. Runner up Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary garnered 16 votes while Norton Reservoir and Norton Kayak Company received 14. And then there’s our winner, Norton Public Library, with 48 percent of the votes. "I have been there with my children many times and they have been so fantastic as a staff making every fun and very educational," said Norton Patch Facebook follower Victor Rodriguez. Best Of Winner: Chateau Restaurant of Norton

The results of this week’s Best Of Readers’ Choice series are in! With 41 percent of the votes, Chateau Restaurant of Norton was voted as the Best Place to Celebrate Mother’s Day. Only three votes separated Chateau from the runner up Trinity Bar & Restaurant, who garnered 33 percent of the votes. McMahon’s Countryside Grille came up in third place with 20 percent of the votes. And then there’s our winner, Chateau Restaurant of Norton. The Chateau is an Italian restaurant with seven locations in Massachusetts. This location is on Bay Road next to Winnecunnet Pond. The results of this week’s Best Of Readers’ Choice series are in! With 64 out of 93 votes and two positive reviews in the directory, Olde Thyme Shoppe was voted as the Best Florist in Norton. Runner up Annabelle’s Flowers, Gifts & More garnered 22 percent of the votes while Roche Bros. received eight percent. Old Thyme Shoppe provides superior quality at truly fair prices. This was of great value to me for the 1st valentines day since being married. My wife loved their ultra professional work and beautifully artistic bouquets. The flowers also lasted for about a month!   more ›
