Obituary: Louise M. (Lafferriere) Raulino

Louise M. (Lafferriere) Raulino was personal care aide at the Wrentham Developmental Center.

(Norton Memorial Funeral Home) Louise M. (Lafferriere) Raulino, 76, of Norton passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Edward V. Raulino to whom she was wed on July 3, 1954. Born in Fall River, MA on Nov. 28, 1936, she was a dear daughter of the late Charles J. and Alma M.(Langevin) Lafferriere. She grew up in Warren, Rhode Island and was educated in Warren public schools. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Raulino had been employed for 10 years as a personal care aide, a job she truly loved, at the Wrentham Developmental Center. (NORTON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME) Roy L. Turco, 65, of Norton passed away in the presence of his loving family on Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Cook) Turco to whom he was wed on Dec. 21, 1969. Born in Norwood, on Oct. 29, 1947, he was a loving son of the late Fred and Chrysella (Hill) Turco. He grew up in Walpole and was a graduate of Walpole High School. Prior to serving in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, he had attended Bentley College. While proudly serving his country in the Navy, he was stationed in the Mediterranean and was honorably discharged with the rank of Gunner’s Mate. Obituary: Leighton C. Foster

Mr. Foster was a former employee of the Norton Highway and Water Departments.

Leighton C. Foster, age 79, a lifelong resident of Norton died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Born in Brockton, Aug. 21, 1933, he was a son of the late Leighton A. and Marjorie H. (Copeland) Foster. He grew up in Norton and had attended the Bristol County Agricultural School in Dighton. A United States Air Force veteran, Mr. Foster had worked for several years for the Norton Highway and Water Departments. Leighton was a very talented man. He was a familiar face around Norton and was often seen traveling around town by way of bicycle. He was the brother of Barbara Foster of Norton and was pre-deceased by his sister Nancy Foster. Richard A. Romanelli, 75, of Norton, formerly of Stoughton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012. Born in Canton on June 7, 1937, he was son of the late Dominic and Iris (Mazzarini) Romanelli. Mr. Romanelli grew up in Canton and attended St. Johns parochial school. His family later moved to Worcester where he finished his education. A resident of Norton for the past 16 years, he had formerly resided in Stoughton for over 30 years. He was an active member of American Legion Post 106 in Sharon. He served his country as a member of the National Guard for eight years.   Kevin Desrosiers, 41, of Norton, formerly of Attleboro, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Born in Attleboro, MA on Jan. 26, 1971, he was a loving and devoted son of Robert H., Sr. and Susan L. (LaGreca) Desrosiers of Norton. Kevin grew up in Attleboro, was educated in Attleboro public schools, and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. He continued his studies, attending CCRI in Rhode Island. For the last year, Kevin had been employed as a toolmaker at Capstan Atlantic in Wrentham. He had previously worked for several at the Phoenix Corp. in Seekonk. John Salvo, 92, of Norton, formerly of Taunton and Easton, passed away in the presence of his loving family on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Moulton) Salvo. Mr. and Mrs. Salvo were wed on July 4, 1943. Born in Belmont, MA on Dec. 31, 1919, he spent his early childhood living in Belmont, where he was also educated. He later moved to Boston and then to Easton in the 1950’s where he and his late wife Helen raised there family.
