Norton High's Currle to Return to Brockton Rox Next Summer

Norton High head football and baseball coach Ted Currle will be back as the associate head coach of the Brockton Rox baseball team next summer.

The Brockton Rox of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League announced that Jud Thigpen and Ted Currle will return to the helm for the 2013 Season. Thigpen will remain the club’s head coach and Currle will retain the position of associate head coach. “I am very excited to have both Jud and Ted back with us this year,” said general manager Tom Healy.  “The coaching staff did a fantastic job for us last year, they (Thigpen and Currle) work very well together and I feel that having the two of them back with us, knowing everything that we have and what we can offer they are the best two men to put us in a position to succeed.” Thigpen and Currle led the 2012 Rox to a 30-23 regular season record in their first season as a member of the Futures …

Teens Allegedly Held at Knifepoint at Stoughton's Skate Park Stoughton Police responded to the Stoughton skate park, located behind the stands of the Stoughton High football field and across from the O'Donnell Middle School, at 5:04 p.m. on April 13 for a report of stolen bikes. Police found that two teen victims were allegedly threatened at knifepoint for the two bikes by the two 17-year-old perpetrators, according to the SPD Facebook page.  Both perpetrators were arrested.
