Election Nomination Period Coming to a Close

Deadline to submit papers is March 12.

Friday was the last day for Town Election candidates to obtain nomination papers. The following people have taken out papers:  Board of Selectmen (Two seats available): Incumbent Robert Kimball Jr., incumbent Robert Salvo Sr. and George Gillis School Committee (Two seats available): Incumbent Andrew Mackie, Valerie Desmond, Mark Powers and Daniel Sheedy Planning Board (Three seats available): Incumbent David Miller and George Burgess Water/Sewer Board (One seat available): Stephen Ceckowski Board of Assessors (One seat available): Kelly Theresa Housing Authority (Two seats available): Incumbents Ralph Stefanelli and Robert Salvo Sr. The last day to submit nomination papers to the Board of Registrars for certification is Tuesday, March 12 …

Three More Take Out Nomination Papers

George Burgess vying for Planning Board while Mark Powers and Daniel Sheedy go for School Committee.

George F. Burgess, Mark Powers and Daniel Sheedy have dropped their names in the hat for this year’s annual town election. Burgess has taken out papers for the Planning Board. He is on the ballot next to incumbent David Miller for one of three seats available. Powers and Sheedy will be up against current School Committee chairperson Andrew Mackie and nominee Valerie Desmond. There are two three-year terms available. Incumbents Robert Kimball Jr. and Robert Salvo Sr. are looking to be reelected while George Gillis is also vying for a seat. Ralph Stefanelli and Robert Salvo Sr. are both trying to keep their Housing Authority positions. Several Candidates Come Forward for Town Office Election

Kimball and Salvo seek reelection on Board of Selectmen.

Several people have already begun their road to election day by obtaining nomination papers. Incumbents Robert Kimball Jr. and Robert Salvo Sr. are looking to be reelected while George Gillis is also vying for a seat. School Committee chairperson Andrew Mackie is seeking reelection while Beth McManus’ seat is being eyed by Valerie Desmond. Ralph Stefanelli and Robert Salvo Sr. are both trying to keep their Housing Authority positions. While three seats are available on the Planning Board, so far only incumbent David Miller has taken out papers. Norton Town Election Nominations Coming to a Close

Papers due Friday, March 2.

With nomination papers for the Norton Town Election due in less than a week, more candidates are joining the race. Incumbents Bradford Bramwell and Timothy Giblin are aiming to keep their seats on the Board of Selectmen while James Dinsel is running for one of the three-year terms. Danielle Sicard will be will be vying for the Town Clerk seat once again, unopposed. Luke Grant is hoping to keep his three-year Water and Sewer Commission term while incumbent Steven Wiseman is running for the one-year term again. This year, two seats each on the School Committee are up for three-year terms. Incumbent Deniz Savas is going up against Philip Lynch and Christopher McMahon in this race.
