An Acton and a New York resident died at the Identity Festival at Comcast Center in Mansfield Thursday night.
Mansfield Police have confirmed two men died on Thursday while at the Identity Festival at the Comcast Center. The two, 19-year-old Connor Brandon of Acton and 27-year-old Dominic Impelizzieri of 266 Roxford Road North, Syracuse, N.Y., reportedly died after taking drugs at the concert. Police said in a statement that Brandon was reported dead on Friday morning at the Boston Medical Center from the effects of several illegal drugs and alcohol found in his system. Impelizzieri also had several illegal drugs and alcohol in his system. He had been resuscitated by emergency medical personnel at the concert, but later succumbed in the morning at Rhode Island Hospital. Mansfield Police said they will continue to actively investigate the issue. …

Teens Allegedly Held at Knifepoint at Stoughton's Skate Park Stoughton Police responded to the Stoughton skate park, located behind the stands of the Stoughton High football field and across from the O'Donnell Middle School, at 5:04 p.m. on April 13 for a report of stolen bikes. Police found that two teen victims were allegedly threatened at knifepoint for the two bikes by the two 17-year-old perpetrators, according to the SPD Facebook page. Both perpetrators were arrested. Proposed Foxboro Casino Concerns Sharon Resident Matthew Baldassari sees a casino on Route 1 in Foxboro as drawing bad things to Sharon, where he has resided since the mid-1980s. "You're going to see traffic and you're going to see crime go up" in Sharon, Baldassari said Monday. Although Wynn Resorts' proposed casino site is in Foxboro, residents of neighboring communities are joining the fight against it, says Chris Lowery, No Foxboro Casino's volunteer coordinator. Foxboro residents are driving this volunteer effort. "This is a regional issue. It will affect the whole area," Lowery says.
