The Wheaton College men's basketball was dealt a 64-49 loss by Springfield College on Saturday afternoon in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action at Emerson Gymnasium on "Senior Day." Prior to the game, seniors Brian Johnson (Roxbury, Mass./Brimmer and May School), Scott Faucher (Lebanon, N.H./Kimball Union Academy), Phil Gensicki (North Haven, Conn./Notre Dame) and Mike Hall (Lynnfield, Mass./Saint John's Prep) were all honored for their contributions towards the men's basketball program. The Wheaton College women's track & field team competed in the Yale Invitational, hosted by Yale University, on Saturday afternoon at the Coxe Cage. Today's meet was an unscored friendly which featured such teams as Sacred Heart, Central Connecticut State, Williams and Brown University among others. Junior Ashante Little (Seabrook, N.H./Winnacunnet) earned Wheaton's only first place finish of the afternoon capturing top honors in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.87-seconds.
