Norton Native Triathlon Athlete for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Meaghan Coughlin to run, bike and swim to raise money for the cause.
If there is one thing Norton has no shortage of, it’s people who put others above themselves. Norton native Meaghan Coughlin, 26, is no different. She will be participating in the NYC Triathlon slated for July 8. Coughlin, who will turn 27 the week of the triathlon, will be swimming 1,500 meters down the Hudson River, biking 40 kilometers through the city and running in a 10k through Central Park in order to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Her goal is to raise $2,900 for the cause. At the moment, she is 45 percent of the way there, with $1,355. Each donation helps accelerate finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
