Norton Suspect Arrested for Shoplifting
The Rhode Island State Police announced the arrest Thursday morning.
Three Massachusetts people, including one from Norton, face shoplifting charges following their arrest by Rhode Island State Police on Wednesday afternoon. Col. Steven O'Donnell announced that Stephen Benson, 28, of 69 E. Main St., Norton; Laurabeth Degirolamo, 31, of 152 Broadway, Taunton; and Jeffrey Hesketh, 37, of 11 Eastern Ave., Hyde Park, each face one misdemeanor count of larceny. In a statement released Thursday morning, O'Donnell said that Smithfield Police issued a report of shoplifting from the Kohl's department store at Smithfield Crossing at about 1 p.m. Wednesday.
