Baeta to Sign Contract Monday

Joseph Baeta will be named supertintendent of Norton Public Schools Monday. His first official day is July 1. The Norton School Committee selected Baeta as their top pick Thursday, Jan. 10. They recently came to a contract agreement, which he will sign publicly at the Jan. 28 School Committee meeting. Baeta started out at the Southeastern Regional Technical School, moved to Sharon and then became the superintendent of schools in Holbrook after working nine months as the high school principal and later as the interim superintendent. His doctorate is near completion and will likely be done when he starts July 1.

The Norton School Committee voted unanimously to hire Joseph Baeta as the new superintendent of schools Thursday night.
