Bishop Feehan, Attleboro High Tie in Hard-Hitting Hockey Game

Bishop Feehan came back from three goals down to tie the Bombardiers in the season opener for both teams.

The Bishop Feehan High School hockey team stormed back from three goals down to tie their crosstown rivals, the Attleboro High Bombardiers, 4-4 in a feisty, hard hitting, and often scrappy game, at Aleixo Arena Wednesday. Senior captain Nick Carvalho scored with only 5:09 left on the clock to earn both teams a point in their opening games of the season. Shamrocks coach Phil Hulbig was disappointed with how the team fell behind, but satisfied with the team’s fight to get back into the game. “Power play wasn’t getting the job done early and we had some opportunities and then Attleboro comes down the ice and, you know, they make you pay for those little mistakes," Hulbig said. "The kids didn’t quit. They came out in the third period fired up …

Norton culminated the season with a 3-0 victory over the Medfield O’Hara team in the finals of the Tan Division Tournament last Friday night at the Foxboro Sports Center. “When we wanted and needed the kids to play their best, they did,” said Rick Palin, who served as the team’s assistant coach this season with Bob Cronin being the head coach. “They really came together as a team and played together as a team.
