Harvard Pilgrim Road Race and Fireworks Kick off 4th of July Celebrations

The annual road race allowed runners to finish inside Gillette Stadium and enjoy fireworks after the race.

With approximately 7,000 runners and an estimated 40,000 spectators for the fireworks, It’s safe to say that the Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 10K/5K and post-race fireworks are going to be around for a long time. Moving the race to the evening of July 3 from the morning of Independence Day, the race alone was double the size of the previous best. In addition to the 10K course, a new 5K was added with a special twist. As the 10K runners began to make their way off stadium grounds towards North Street via the Putnam Way access road, the 5K runners kept going until they reached the Bank of America gate where things got interesting. The rest of the race took runners up the ramp of the stadium to the 300 level and back down on the ramp …

Opponents and proponents of a proposed $1 billion casino lined Route 1 Monday at Patriot Place in Foxborough with signs in hand. The demonstrators arrived in response to news that Patriots owner Robert Kraft is in discussion with Las Vegas developer Steve Wynn about building the casino on approximately 200 acres across from Gillette Stadium and Patriot Place, about 15 miles from the center of Norton.

There's a Patriots' Game Tonight

New England will be opening up the preseason against Jacksonville. Here's the parking and train information for the game.

The New England Patriots officially kick off the football season Thursday night at Gillette Stadium against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Kick off is 7:30 p.m. Patriot fans all over the country are anxiously awaiting to see how this season will play out.
