Obituary: Ralph F. Roberge

Ralph Roberge, 95, formerly of South Attleboro and Mansfield, passed away May 9, 2013.

Obituary from Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.  Ralph F. Roberge, 95, of Sandwich, formerly of South Attleboro and Mansfield, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. He was the husband of the late Lina J. (Bouchard) Roberge, to whom he was wed for over 65 years at the time of her death Oct. 1, 2011. Born in Mansfield Feb. 4, 1918, he was son of the late Isaac J. and Alice E. (Nolette) Roberge. He grew up and was educated in Mansfield. Ralph served his country as a member of the United States Navy during both WWII and the Korean Conflict, and was a former member of the 25th Infantry of the Massachusetts State Guard. She was born in Pawtucket, R.I., daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Lavender) Smith. She was a graduate of Norton High School. Gertrude was employed as an LPN at the former Paul A. Dever State School for over 27 years. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Taunton. She enjoyed spending time travelling throughout the New England States. William Clark Sr. William E. Clark Sr., 79, of South Easton, died May 14 2013. He was a resident of South Easton for 40 years. Mr. Clark was an Airman 2nd Class in the U.S. Air Force and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a maintenance mechanic for the Grace Company in Canton for 25 years before retiring in 1996. Paul Doherty Paul Anthony Doherty Sr., 72, of Foxborough, died May 8, 2013. Paul was a retired patrolman and court prosecutor for the Town of Foxborough, retiring in 2003. Paul served the citizens of Foxborough for over 37 years. He was also a former news photographer for the former Boston Herald-Traveler from 1962-1972. Mr. LaPorte, a mechanical contractor, was the co-founder of Environmental Systems Inc., Attleboro for 31 years before retiring in 2007. Richard was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Krystle Campbell Mourned at Medford Funeral

Somber mood throughout Medford Monday for bombing victim's funeral, no protesters present.

A deep sadness permeated downtown Medford Monday for the funeral of Krystle Campbell, a native daughter killed one week ago in the bombings attacks at the Boston Marathon.  The funeral brought out hundreds, lining both sides of High Street as traffic was shut down near St. Joseph's Church.  So many came out that the church got to capacity with many still lined up past the St. Joseph's Social Center. While they came to pay their respects to Campbell, 29, who most recently lived in Arlington and worked as a restaurant manager, many also came to shield the family from a potential protest. The Westboro Baptist Church had threatened to picket the funeral, as they do at many high-profile events, to espouse their anti-gay views. Teamster Local 25…
