Lancer Freshmen Prove Themselves

Finished with perfect 6-0 record.

The future of the Norton High football program looks to be in very good hands after the Lancer freshmen team completed the 2010 campaign with a perfect 6-0 record. It was a dominant season for Norton as the team outscored its six opponents by a combined total of 170-32. The Lancer offense averaged a little over 28 points per game, while the defense surrendered a little over five points per contest. "The team was outstanding right from the beginning of the season," said Norton head coach Pat Coleman, whose assistant this fall was Tom Petersen. "They were confident and aggressive all season."
