Norton Police Department is currently investigating a possible elderly scam in which a male approached a senior citizen and said that several trees in the yard needed to be taken down. After discussing it, the man drove the victim to the bank and withdrew a large amount of money for the work. The work that was done was poor, not completed and overpriced. No information was given about the business other than the man had a white boom truck with “TREE SERVICE” written on it with several workers assisting. Residents and senior citizens are urged to be cautious and only deal with people they contact for the work they feel needs to be done and report anything suspicious to the police department.
