Police Arrest Man Caught Stealing Copper Piping
Anthony Enos, of Taunton, charged with breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, more than $250 in malicious damage of property and less than $250 in larceny of property.
Police caught a man stealing copper piping from a local business Wednesday afternoon, leading to his arrest. On Nov. 21, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Norton Police responded to 47 Elm St. for a report of a possible breaking and entering. An employee of Eureka Manufacturing was at the vacant building checking on the premises when he heard noises coming from inside the building and called police. Sergeant Robert Whitfield, patrolman David Ruskey and patrolman John Chmielinski responded and observed an open door to the rear of the building. Officers entered the building and approached a male inside carrying a duffel bag. The male suspect, Anthony Enos, 22, of Bay Street, Taunton, was placed under arrest.
