Public hearing to continue April 23.
At last week's public hearing on the proposed teambuilding camp on Pheeny's Island, Chris Yarworth of Yarworth Engineering addressed concerns made by the Conservation Committee. While a continuation of the public hearing will take place April 23 at Norton Public Library, Yarworth's response to the Committee's questions are available to look at here and on the Norton town website.

Conservation Commission position still open.
Following up from last week's meeting, selectman Bob Kimball apologized for comments he made about finding someone for the conservation commission position. “We are looking for someone open-minded, and doesn’t have an ax to grind so to speak,” said selectmen Robert Kimball. “I’m looking for someone who just wants to come and serve the town. No hidden agenda, just wants to come in and do what they think is best,” added selectmen Robert Kimball. According to the Sun Chronicle, Kimball said he reviewed the comments in news accounts and by watching a replay of the board's meeting. "That wasn't a fair assessment of the candidates," he said. I really don't see why he apoligized because its true. Probably shouldn't have said it at BOS meeting but still. Isn't one of the candidates a planning board member? Let's get new blood on these boards and not be having candidates serving on more than one board.   more ›
