Coast Guard Sweeps Wheaton on the Road

Auger takes first place honors in the 100-yard backstroke.

The Wheaton College men's and women's swimming & diving teams wrapped up their month-long road trip on Saturday afternoon against the United State Coast Guard Academy with a pair of losses. The Coast Guard men recorded a 178.5-95.5 victory while the women posted a 175-105 triumph.  Freshman diver Sydney Gillis (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) won a pair of events and senior Dana Auger (Milford, Mass./Milford) finished first overall in the 100-yard backstroke to lead the women's squad.  Gillis compiled 217.28 points in the one-meter dive and 163.20 points in the three-meter dive for her pair of wins.
