Do the Celtics Have a Championship Left in Them? [POLL]

Journalism assignment by Norton High student Steve Burrill.

Most people don’t think the Celtics have a chance at their 18th championship, but as the eastern conference playoffs have unfolded, the Celtics chances look more and more favorable. With the Bulls unexpectedly falling in the first round and the Miami Heat losing grip against the Pacers, it looks as if the East is slowly opening up for the Celtics... that is if they are able to get by the 76ers. Although many people are counting the Celtics out, the Celtics seem to have a little bit of juice left in the tank to try and propel to their 18th championship. TVL Championship Basketball Game to Go in the History Books

Journalism assignment by Norton High student Steven Burrill.

The date of February 14, 2012 will be a historic date for most Norton basketball players and fans. This was the day that the Norton Lancer varsity basketball team won its first ever outright TVL championship. This has never been done by any Norton basketball team ever due to the rigid schedule of the Tri Valley League. Twice a year Norton must play perennial power houses such as: Hopkinton, Medfield, and Medway. Not often is Norton mentioned to be in the top spot of the TVL but this year was different. With two games left, the Norton Lancers were to completely determine their fate. This game was special because not only was it the game to clinch the first TVL title, but it was senior night. All the hard work would be put in perspective …

McAlear captured titles in both the 100 individual medley (IM) and 50 butterfly for the 11-12 boys division, both with personal records and by wide margins over the …
