A concerned cat lover called the shelter when they saw Ruthanne wandering around. She was homeless and had a family on the way. Two of her three surviving kittens have found good homes. The third will require a surgery. She is living at the shelter now and looking for her next home. Frosty is an all-white male with beautiful green eyes. He was trapped last winter. Upon examination he was found to have a heart condition and takes medication for this. His condition certainly does not slow him down. He would do best in a home with no other kitties where he can be king of the castle. Nine Lives of Norton Feline Rescue Shelter, 84 Hill St., is sponsoring an adopt-a-thon weekend May 5 and 6. Besides cats, there will different events happening both days. There will be a car wash, bake sale, food booths, etc. On Sunday there will be nail clipping and ear cleaning for the cats. There is also going to be a dog washer. There will be several raffles including a cat basket, a mystery bag, lottery tickets, and four tickets to the May 19 Revolution game at Gillette, plus many other surprises.
