Benefit Golf Tournament To Be Held on Thursday

Proceeds from event at Norton CC to benefit high school golf and football programs.

With the new school year quickly approaching, there is an excellent opportunity to support a couple of high school athletic programs this week. The Second Annual Putt and Pass Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday at Norton Country Club. Like last year, the tournament is being sponsored by both the Norton Golf Team Booster Club and the 1st and 10 Foundation. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit both the golf and football programs at Norton High. “We invited the 1st and 10 club to join us last year and the tournament was very successful,” said Cheryle Cantin, who is the head of the Norton Golf Team Booster Club. “The golf team has done several things to raise money for the program, but this tournament has been the most successful of…

Norton Boosters Road Race Results

Norton residents come out on top.

Norton Boosters hosted a 2.6 mile road race and 1 mile run Sunday, November 21, starting at Holiday Inn in Mansfield. Norton residents Kevin Rogers, Brittany Alioto, John Winters, Pat Taylor, Marianne Mccready,  Nancy Greco and Katie Bradley came out on top in their divisions. Soccer Banquet Rewards Seniors

The boys and girls soccer teams had their banquet last Tuesday, honoring players.

"Never take anything for granted. It goes by so quickly," player Keegan Campbell advised to his teammates at the Norton Boys and Girls Soccer banquet Tuesday, Nov. 23 at Norton High School Cafeteria. During this dinner for the players, friends and family, coach Eric Greene of the boys squad and coach Todd Kefor for the girls gave speeches congratulating their players, with special attention given to the seniors who played their last seasons at Norton High. Seated at the head table, the seniors were the main focus of the banquet, and they definitely had some fond memories of their playing days at Norton. Such as when the senior boys forked Greene's lawn. They placed 3,184 forks in his lawn, a process that took the boys 45 minutes, …
