Barely a Chance of Bear Sightings in Norton
Norton Animal Control officer Brian Plante says bears will likely stay away from town.
With numerous bear sightings across the region, including neighboring Attleboro and Taunton, authorities have been on alert. However, animal officer Brian Plante says that it isn’t likely that there bear will be spotted in Norton. In the Attleboro case, the bear was afraid of the growing crowd of people and retreated into the woods. Plante said that it’s possible the bear was caught, but authorities could be keeping it under wraps just in case there is more than one culprit in the area.
