Youngsters Begin Fun-Filled Week At Future Hoopsters Camp

55 players head to middle school on Monday for start of boys’ camp.

Drills, games and fun were the featured attractions as the 10th Annual Future Hoopsters Boys’ Basketball Camp opened on Monday morning at the Norton Middle School. A total of 55 boys entering grades four through 10 will spend three hours each day this week learning the fundamentals of basketball and honing the skills they already possess. “The first day is all about getting organized,” said camp director Marc Liberatore on Monday morning. Liberatore has extensive experience as a player, coach and official and has been the head boys’ varsity basketball coach at Norton High for the past 10 years. “We are fortunate because so many of the kids have been coming to the camp for so long that they know what to expect,” he said. “They are familiar …
