NHS Football Celebrates 2012 Season

Captains for 2013 season chosen.

Norton High School football players, families and coaches celebrated the end of the 2012 season at its annual end of season banquet.   The banquet featured end of season awards, video presentations and a special visit from NE Patriots player Dane Fletcher. Mike Travers was given the Defensive Player of the Year Award and Brad Wry was given the offensive player of the year award. Captains chosen for the 2013 season are Mike Travers, Mike Ready, Brad Wry and Tony Giglio.

Norton Wrestling Celebrates Successful Season

Wrestlers awarded at post-season banquet.

Following a banner year, Norton High wrestlers and families celebrated the team's success at their annual post-season banquet held at Francis Farm in Rehobeth. A BBQ meal was provided by Ted and Lauren Marvel, parents of senior Jared Marvel and owners of New England's Best Pig Pickin'.   The Lancers had much to celebrate after a 26-1 season, which resulted in team titles in the Tri-Valley League, Division 3 Central Sectionals, and Division 3 States. Individual weightclass champions included Brett Gallagher (120), John Royle (138) and Scott Coleman (145). Coleman went on to win a state championship as well. Soccer Banquet Rewards Seniors

The boys and girls soccer teams had their banquet last Tuesday, honoring players.

"Never take anything for granted. It goes by so quickly," player Keegan Campbell advised to his teammates at the Norton Boys and Girls Soccer banquet Tuesday, Nov. 23 at Norton High School Cafeteria. During this dinner for the players, friends and family, coach Eric Greene of the boys squad and coach Todd Kefor for the girls gave speeches congratulating their players, with special attention given to the seniors who played their last seasons at Norton High. Seated at the head table, the seniors were the main focus of the banquet, and they definitely had some fond memories of their playing days at Norton. Such as when the senior boys forked Greene's lawn. They placed 3,184 forks in his lawn, a process that took the boys 45 minutes, …
