Reading can transport you to another world.
Reading has always been a treasured pastime in our family. My Grandmother would read thick mysteries and my dad devours everything on history, especially the U.S. Civil War. My husband reads constantly – two daily newspapers, and 34 magazines each month, mostly work-related, along with a novel. I remember riding my bike to the town library and sitting at the old wooden tables and reading every book on horses that I could. The summer reading program was always a highlight, and I was one of the first children to be done with the required reading.
