Norton Resident Charged in Connection with Avon Shooting

Ashley Weiner, 20, charged with carrying a firearm without a license and conspiracy to violate the drug law.

Arraignment of Norton resident Ashley Weiner and two others is anticipated today in the Stoughton District Court relative to the shooting in Avon March 27. Weiner, 20, was charged by Avon Police with carrying a firearm without a license and conspiracy to violate the drug law. The Avon Police Department, with the assistance of Massachusetts State Police Detectives attached to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, the Brockton Police Department and State Police operating in Boston, are still investigating the apparent exchange of gunfire in the parking area of WalMart at 30 Memorial Drive, Avon that took place around 4 p.m. yesterday.
