Why should you be elected as the unofficial Mayor of Norton? Doing this fund raiser is a wonderful idea for the charity of the Un-official Mayor. Charity work is very important to me. I have been a big supporter of the Susan G. Komen charity.

Besides working at the L.G. Nourse, I am currently on the Norton Baseball/Softball Committee as the Challenger League Director.  I founded a Special Needs wiffle ball team called the “Little Wiffles." This program is designed for children that normally would not have the chance to play an organized sport. We fall under the NYBS and these special children have all the opportunities that every player in town would have. Each player has a high school or college age “Base Buddy” with them as a one-on-one though out the game. We started with eight players three seasons ago and now have 32. It gives these children a chance to play with their peers but also for the families to meet other families in the same situation.

I’m not afraid of a challenge and put my heart and soul into everything I do. I take great pride in being the founder of the “Little Wiffles," it has touched my heart in many ways, to see these children play and bond with the base buddies is amazing. Organizing this league shows how much the youth of Norton take pride in their town as well. It has brought the youth, adults and these special children together for pure enjoyment and fun. I’m know every candidate brings a lot to the table and wish them all the best of luck.
