Women Finish Second, Men 13th at ECAC Championship

Women snag 60 points while men garner 21.

The women's outdoor track & field team placed second while the men took 13th at the 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I-III Championship Friday afternoon at RPI. The women finished with 60 points and the men notched 21 points.

Sophomore Ashante Little (Seabrook, N.H./Winnacunnet) won the 400m hurdles (55.78) and placed second in the 200m dash (24.99). She was also part of Wheaton's fifth-place 4x100m relay team that posted a time of 48.49, along with senior Lauren Cardarelli (Cranston, R.I./La Salle), junior Amanda Claflin (Pembroke, Mass./Pembroke), and sophomore Amber Spencer (Wellesley, Mass./Wellesley).

 Senior Didine Jusme (Providence, R.I./Classical) won the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.46. After placing first in the triple jump on Thursday, senior Ashley Dell'Aira (Shoreham, N.H./Shoreham)finished fifth in the long jump (5.32m). Other top 10 finishers included sophomore Meredith Scannell (San Marino, Calif./San Marino) in the 400m dash (fifth, 57.73) and classmate Mollie Lane (Hanover, Mass./Hanover) in the high jump (ninth, 1.59m).

Junior Ben Miklovich (New Gloucester, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) placed second in the 100m dash (10.94) and fifth in the 200m dash (21.93). He was also a member of the 4x100m relay team which placed sixth (42.40), along with senior Mark Williamson (Vienna, Va./James Madison), junior Miles Ketchum (South Lee, Mass./Monumental Regional), and sophomore Olufunsho Olagundoye (New York, N.Y./Cushing Academy).
