Sharon's Isabel Southard helped the Boston College women’s golf team to a fifth place finish out of 13 teams (922, +58) at the Hoosier Fall Invitational in Florence, Ind. The Eagles finished strong, jumping three places in the final round on Sunday to finish 10 strokes ahead of sixth place East Tennessee State.
A freshman, Southard finished seventh overall (223, +7) and recorded a 72 on Sunday, which was the lowest final round score of the entire tournament field. The Sharon native leads the Eagles with a 74.80 average over 10 rounds of play.
Wisconsin took first place (894, +30) followed by Indiana (896, +32) and Minnesota (904, +40).
The Eagles will complete their fall schedule next Sunday, Oct. 28. at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational in Sarasota, Fla.
