The Norton High wrestlers continued their winning ways with a clean sweep of Saturday's home quad meet and improved their record to 18-2 for the season. The Lancers crushed Weston 57-10, got past Oliver Ames 45-30, then pounded Billerica 56-18.
Freshman Deven Schuko, sophomores Russell Hansen and Elliott Johnson, juniors JT Taylor and Mike Travers, along with senior captain Stephen Hudson all had unblemished 3-0 records for the day with Schuko, Johnson and Travers winning all three matches by pins.
Co-captain Travers currently leads the team with 27 wins and 22 pins while Hudson has 25 wins and 19 pins and holds the team record of 31 pins in a season and 94 pins in a career. He now has 118 career wins and has a good chance of catching Norton's two-time state champion Brett Gallagher for second place all-time with 124.

Still undefeated in Tri-Valley League competition, the Lancers are preparing for a show-down Wednesday evening at home against a strong Holliston team. The Panthers finished runners-up to Norton 38-30 in the finals of an exciting D-3 State Team Championship last year. The meet gets underway 7 p.m. at Norton High School.
