Norton Wrestling Ranked Number One in USA Wrestling Magazine

Norton High School the team to beat in Division III.

Pre-season rankings and predictions mean nothing once the whistle blows, but it is a great honor to be recognized as one of the top programs in the state. USA Wrestling Magazine recently ranked Norton High School #1 in their Massachusetts Division III preview for the coming season.

"Norton High School is the team to beat in Division III,” said Tom Bartosek. “Although they will have a good dual meet team, the Lancers should be the favorite to win the individual state tournament championship. Norton, state runnerup in 2011, returns five state place winners from last year. Seniors Brett Gallagher (State champion 119), Scott Coleman (2nd State 135), John Royle (2nd State 145), Cam Hale (6th State 125) and junior Stephen Hudson (4th State 215) will provide the nucleus of a formidable team."

The Lancers open up their season on Saturday, Dec. 10 at home in a quad meet
vs Norwell, Taunton, and Nauset starting at 10:00 AM.
