win 10-6 against Roger Williams.

Wheaton College junior Eric Jensen (Gorham, N.H./Gorham) drove in the go-ahead runs in the eighth to break a six-all tie and send the No. 7 Wheaton College baseball team to a 10-6 win over Roger Williams University in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon at Paolino Field.

Senior Dan Demeo (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) drove in three runs for the Lyons (26-4), who extended their winning streak to seven games. Senior Tim Georgen (Bristol, Conn./Bristol Eastern) went 2-for-4 with two RBI for the Hawks, who fell to 10-21.

Wheaton put up a '6' spot in the first inning to take an early lead. Freshman Apolinar De la Cruz (Providence, R.I./Classical) plated the first two runs with a single to left and later scored on a passed ball to make it 3-0. Demeo followed with a ground-rule double that brought in freshman Kevin Foley (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) with the Lyons fourth run, senior John Keating (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) scored on a wild pitch, and freshman Zach Horton (North Attleboro, Mass./North Attleboro) singled up the middle to cap the scoring in the inning.

The Hawks chipped away at the Wheaton lead, scoring once in the third, twice in the fifth, and three times in the seventh to tie the game at six. Georgen had an RBI single in the second to get RWU on the board, and RBI from freshman Chris Travers (East Freetown, Mass./Apponequet) and sophomore Mike Thomas (Plainville, Conn./Plainville) in the fifth cut Wheaton's lead in half.

In the seventh, senior Trevor Manzi (Beverly, Mass./St. John's Prep) scored on a balk, Georgen singled in his second run of the afternoon, and a sac fly off the bat of senior Chris Comeau (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug) brought in Thomas to tie the game.

Wheaton struck for two runs in the eighth and ninth innings to regain the lead at 10-6. Jensen delivered the go-ahead hit with a two-run single in the eighth, and Demeo's two-run triple in the ninth pushed the Lyons lead to four. Sophomore Ryan Grant (Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) worked a 1-2-3 ninth to seal the victory.

Sophomore Nick Filloramo (Rochester, Mass./Old Rochester) picked up his second win in as many games as he worked an inning in relief of sophomore starter Mike McGinnis (Mashpee, Mass./Mashpee). McGinnis allowed four hits and one run in four innings of work.

Freshman Brendan Telfer (Avon, Conn./Avon) started for Roger Williams worked the first 6.2 innings, allowing nine hits and six runs (one earned) with one walk and two strikeouts. Sophomore Dan Julian (Stratford, Conn./St. Joseph's) took the loss as he allowed one run on no hits in 0.1 IP.
