There was a lot of emotion on display at the Lee Burchill Baseball Complex on Saturday as two youth baseball teams from town were taking part in their respective Cal Ripken District 4 Tournament championship games.
The Norton American 12-year-old all-star team qualified for next week’s state tournament in Chelmsford with a come-from-behind 10-6 victory over Stoughton in the district final on Saturday afternoon at Burchill Field A.
Needing just one win to earn a spot in the state tournament, the Norton American 10-year-old all-star team dropped a pair of tough decisions to Dedham in the district finals at Burchill Field B.

Facing elimination, Dedham won the first game 10-0 in four innings on Saturday morning and then edged the locals 10-9 in the deciding game on Saturday afternoon.
