Three Southern New Hampshire University soccer players were recently honored by being named to their respective Capital One Academic All-District Teams announced recently, including junior Jordan Branco of Norton, who was a First Team selection.
By virtue of his First Team selection, Branco is now eligible for Capital One Academic All-America honors. The Capital One Academic All-District and All-America teams are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The program has expanded for 2011-12, with separate Academic All-District and All-America teams selected in Divisions I, II and III, as well as the College division for NAIA, junior college and Canadian institutions.
Branco, a Business Administration major with a 3.79 GPA, was recently a Northeast-10 Third Team All-Conference selection. He ranks second on Southern New Hampshire with nine goals and five assists for 23 points and has recorded multiple points on five occasions, most recently with a goal and an assist in SNHU’s 3-2 Northeast-10 semifinal win over UMass Lowell on Friday night.
