PHOTO GALLERY: Norton High School Art Show

Students submit over 1,000 pieces.

Students from all levels of art submitted over 1,000 pieces of work for the Norton High School Art Show that took place Wednesday, May 2.

All year long, everyone who has taken an art class this year built up their portfolio of work for the occasion. The Art Honor Society helped set up the make-shift gallery in the high school cafeteria.

"I'm very proud of my students," said art teacher Robin Lewicki. "I love the show. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it. It's a big night for the kids."

My daughter Emily had a piece in the show so we went together. Since she is a first year student, this was our first time at the Art Show and we were blown away! Norton has amazingly talented students who obviously have really gifted and passionate teachers because the show was spectacular. The town of Norton should be proud of these students. I'd like you to consider having some of the artwork available for sale, possibly splitting the proceeds between the artist and the school for a fund-raiser.
