The Town of Norton Water and Sewer Commission will host a public meeting regarding changes since the completion of the previous draft comprehensive water resources management program and the current recommended plan as outlined in the ongoing draft comprehensive wastewater management plan. The meeting will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Norton Public Library.
This meeting will be hosted by the Water and Sewer Commission and will be attended by the Commission's engineering consultant Weston & Sampson.
The purpose of this meeting is to present an update on the many wastewater-related changes since completion of the original study. It will include the proposed conceptual wastewater system layout for the limited identified sewer needs areas in Norton. The public will also have a chance to ask questions.
A draft of the comprehensive wastewater management program will be available for view prior to the meeting.
In addition to the public meeting, there will be a final public hearing at the conclusion of the comprehensive wastewater management plan process to present the final plan, in detail, including proposed financing and implementation plans for the project, as well as Norton's role in the Tri-Town Regional Sewer District with Mansfield and Foxborough.
