Assessors Revaluate Properties in Norton

Fiscal year 2013 values are available for public inspection during business hours from Oct. 22 to 26.

The Town of Norton Board of Assessors has recently completed their triennial revaluation as required by state law.

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue has completed its preliminary review of both real and personal property preliminary values. These values represent full and fair cash value for fiscal year 2013. The proposed valuations are based on an analysis of qualified arms length sales during the period of Jan. 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, as well as structure condition ratings and other appraisal factors. 

The fiscal year 2013 values are available for public inspection during business hours from Oct. 22 to 26 at the following locations:
1. The Assessor’s Office, 70 E. Main St., Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. 
2. Norton Public Library, 68 E. Main St.
3. Town of Norton Website at www.nortonma.org.
