Yelle Elementary Placed on Lock Down Friday Afternoon

For the second day in a row, a Norton elementary school was placed on lock down after a woman asked to use the bathroom.

One thing was made clear in Norton this week.

If you need to use the bathroom, try another place besides an elementary school.

For the second day in a row, a Norton elementary school was placed on lock down due to a person knocking on the door asking to use the restroom.

"At 2:20 p.m. an older woman with a cane approached the front door of the Henri A. Yelle Elementary School and asked to use the bathroom," according to a statement released by Yelle Elementary. "She was not allowed in and left. The building was placed on a Lock Down and Norton Police were notified and present during student release at 2:30 p.m. Precautions were taken in light of the incident at the J. C. Solmonese School on October 24th. Children and staff were safe during the entire incident."

On Thursday, the J.C. Solmonese School was placed on lock down when an Attleboro woman attempted to enter the building to use the bathroom. She was cited for disturbing the peace.
